Southern Etzavaz is a cultural, regional, and linguistic area in the southwest of the continent of Etzavaz. It is bordered by the Central Etzavazi Republic to the north, the Bhayaruka Sea to the west, and the THIS OCEAN NEEDS A NAME to the south and east. It is generally defined as the areas in Etzavaz which had less influence from the Triangle Sea, although this definition is vague.

It is known for a distinct culture and languages from the rest of Etzavaz, speaking TODO languages rather than Ashno-Verethian languages.

Geography

South Etzavaz has multiple distinct climate zones, ranging from the hillier central desert to the more tropical areas towards the southern tip of the area.

History

Pre-history

In pre-historical times, the people who lived in South Etzavaz were largely nomadic, herding cattle and mules. Various burial sites have been discovered, where bodies were buried with stone tools and horns of cattle and aurochs. This continued until after the Bronze age collapse and an increase in rainfall, which coincided with the sedentarization of various populations.
