The Kayabi Conflict is an ongoing geopolitical and religious tension between Khobeh and the Tarwah Union along with their protectorates and allies, respectively the East Faction and the West Faction. The conflict sprouted from an initial power struggle between the two nations following the economic boom in the Tarwah Union as a result of the Seunggun coal trade. The tension between Khobeh, the Tarwah Union, and their respective allies has manifested in the form of expansionist campaigns, proxy wars, and espionage operations. The conflict has also led to a religious conflict between the predominantly Aku Biakor adherents of East Faction nations and the Kunwidya adherents of the West Faction. Culturally, the Kayabi Conflict has given rise to rampant nationalism and xenophobia among the factions' member countries, especially the targeting of diaspora populations as in Bomakwodor.

The name kayabi was originally an Afa Nyamu term meaning "quarrel" derived from the Dzuma word àdùkàyã̀bé, meaning "to pull at both sides".
