Ameikkei migrations
Following the end of Mashhasadid rule among the nomadic Phelo peoples in the 2400s CY, the steppe would fall into disorder. Endless raids and devastation would lead the Ameikkei people to seek shelter in the X river valley, where they would displace the native Būnwāha peoples. The Būnwāha would migrate south, establishing the Empire of Shōwāha in 25XX CY, while the Ameikkei would continue to reside semi-nomadically within the X river valley. Accounts of the natives of the southern coast of southwestern Ashnan are sparse prior to the arrival of writing in the area. Most accounts come from post hoc Ameikkei writings, but it is believed the peoples of the southwestern coast were likely Ashnanic or a now extinct ethnic group. The Empire of Shōwāha would continue to exercise dominion over the southwestern coast for much of the 2500s.
Sheippōju dynasty
In 2612 CY, (something happened) with the Sheippōju dynasty arising in the X river valley. The Sheippōju were the first native Ameikkei state to arise, ruled by a semi-nomadic noble class. The Sheippōju would go onto waging war against the decaying Shōwāha throughout the 2650s, culminating in their ultimate demise in 2682 CY. The ancient capital of the Shōwāha would be burned to the ground, and nearby city states would begin to have frontier conflicts with the rapidly expanding Sheippōju.
Great Unrest
As Kunwidya began to spread along the coast of western and southwestern Ashnan, the population and nobility began to become divided over the new religion. This escalated into a brief civil conflict which saw the brutal suppression of Kunwidya-uprising, causing refugees to move northwards to the more nomadic and Kunwidya-friendly clans bordering Wahakkum. X (the nomads continued to back Kunwidya insurrectionists in Wahakkum and they endlessly fight about it)
Phelo Empire
Under the rule of Étten the Conqueror, Wahakkum would see its population converted to Kunwidya, largely through the persecution and execution of those who refused.
