Citsuri (Dhimze: chizhyri [t͡ʃiˈt͡suri]) is the capital and largest city of the Dhimze barony of Gharidzi. It is located on the large estuary of the Jdversigi River which goes out to the Triangle Sea. Citsuri has a population of 358,930 as of 4627, making it the sixth largest city in Dhimrai.
Since the first millenium CY, Citsuri has been an important port city and has been host to a number of cultures seeking to utilize its strategic location. It was first founded by the Rausin in the 2nd century CY but later abandoned by 620 CY. The first traces of Dhimze inhabitation date to the 13th century CY and continue through the Doccábh Quinquevirate, which conquered it in [sometime after 2600 CY] and greatly developed the city's infrastructure, making it an important regional center for several centuries. Citsuri's roots were truly laid in the 37th century CY when Leonit Ṙakartsvi, Baron of Gharidzi established the city as his fief. Citsuri remained the fief of House Ṙakartsvi for several centuries until the end of feudalism in 3909 CY.
In the current day, Citsuri is a major center of industry in Dhimrai, particularly after the demilitarization of Northern Dhimrai, which shut down a large number of factories in the Jdversigi Valley. Citsuri is the headquarter of Bajuri Arms Manufacture and automobile manufacturer X.
Etymology
The city was founded by the Rausin as Čauziûr, meaning "bright coast". This name was loaned into Classical Dhimze as Cātsiur, which evolved into chizhyri in Modern Dhimze.
