Jvuzrada (Dhimze: jhvyzrád [d͡ʒvuzˈrada]) is the capital and most populous city of Dhimrai and the Commonwealth of Dhimrai, with a population of around 2.7 million. It stands at the estuary of the River Jdversigi in northern Dhimrai and has been a major settlement for over three millenia. Traces of Rausin settlement have been found dating back to the 5th century CY, and inscriptions indicate the settlement was referred to as Casûnθiš, which reflects the early Dhimze name for the city, Casunci.

Etymology

The name Jvuzrada comes from jhvyzri "sun" and ~ád, which is a suffix for city names. The origin of the name is calqued from its Rausin name Casûnθiš, which also stands for "city of the Sun". This was directly loaned into Classical Dhimze as Casunci, before being later replaced by the native calque. The name comes from the city's strong association with Judzin, the Yasgan god of the Sun.
