Prehistory
Here be Ineislunnics
Hithinic settlement
Hithinic settlement of Rirshei began in 3577, with the southern groups amassing large invasion forces against the native peoples. These raids, invasions, and waves of settlement resulted in a high Hithinic population on the coast of Rirshei, and the displacement of the original Ineislunnic peoples of the area. Many of these raiders sought freedom from what they perceived as tyranny under the Soderic king. In 3630 CY, the Pesh of Rirshei was established, a majority Hithinic state which controlled much of the coast. X
Union with Soderon
In 3970 CY, the Peshás of Rirshei, X, swore fealty to the Kingdom of Soderon during the X War. In exchange for Rirsheic fealty, the Kingdom of Soderon granted military aid and support to Rirshei. Because of this support, Rirshei was able to defeat the Ineislunnics and further expand the Pesh. X. After the accession X as Pesh, Rirshei once again found itself embroiled in war with the Ineislunnics. As Soderon was embroiled in the X war, there was no support available to Rirshei, leaving X to deal with the conflict on his own. X. Due to X’s military exploits against the Ineislunnics in the X war, in 4044 CY the Pesh of Rirshei was raised to the status of a Pecheg under Pechegás X. Rirshei still holds this title today, and X is often given the moniker “the great” for his exploits.
Forty-five Years’ War and independence
By X sentiments had changed regarding the Soderic crown, as Soderon began to infringe on many traditional freedoms of the Pecheg. X
